Request Prayer

PRAYER
Is there a personal concern or worry that is troubling you? Or has something happened that makes you want to celebrate and give thanks to God? We care about your concerns. We want to share in your celebrations. Ward Church would love to pray for you no matter the circumstance.

What is prayer?
Prayer is communication with God. Author Len Sweet explains it like this, "Prayer is the art of hole-punching the sky so that 'as it is in heaven' becomes an earthly reality." Prayer unleashes God's will in our lives. Through prayer we express our deepest thoughts and emotions. Through prayer we become more sensitive to the leading of God's spirit. It opens our ears to hear, our eyes to see and our hearts to respond to God's power moving in our circumstances.

Why do we pray?
We pray because the Bible gives us clear instruction to do so. We pray because it takes the focus off of us and our weakness and places it squarely on God and His strength. Prayer doesn't always change things. But it always changes us. And we believe that's exactly what God intends. We encourage you to make prayer a personal habit. God never rests. He's always ready to hear from you.

Request Prayer
If you would like to request prayer, please go here to fill out a request. After you submit the request, your request will be sent to a member of Ward's pastoral team. If you indicate that you would like to be contacted, we will call or e-mail at your preference to follow up and share words of encouragement for your situation. Then, your request will be included with the prayers offered by members of the Ward community who serve the church through the ministry of praying for those in need.

Prayer Guide
We regularly publish a list of prayer concerns to help the Ward community stay current with the needs of our congregation. If you would like to have your request added to this list, please e-mail Celena Clinesmith to provide details. Download the most recent version of Ward's prayer guide and join us in praying for the needs of those who are hurting.
